ek b18a1 hydro tranny?
have a question, I have a 96 civic ek, with an s80 tranny,
(pretty sure its hydro) hooked up to a b18a1 (b18a1 originally
Comes with cable tranny).
question is, if I drop a b18c1 into it, is it bolt up, or do I
have to modify it?
B18a1 cable + s80 hydro= me stumped
b18c1 hydro + s80 hydro =
I just dont kno wat the previous owner did to bolt up the
cableb18a1 with a hydro s80 tranny, and if I can just bolt up the
b18c1 I just bought to the s80 tranny.
the b18c1 motor with the s80 tranny with no modification.

You should be fine. B series blocks(besides the funky B20 that came in those old Preludes) and B series cable/hydro trannies are all interchangeable. The only difference is that some of the older cable trannies had a smaller input shaft, so they used a different clutch disc.
