EGT gauge, needed for tuning?

Fuel tuning is best left to a wideband O2 since many factors affected EGT reading other than just AFR. However, I use the EGT to help dial in the ignition timing after we've tuned out the AFRs. I've tuned many turbo cars without an EGT but alway with a wideband (naturally since we make them
). If EGT information is present all the better. Ross.

It's simple, you don't NEED an egt gauge to properly tune, but it's good to have one!
It can tell you alot.
You don't want overly high egt's, could mean ur ignition timing needs more tuning.
i didnt have one when I got tuned,
but next tune session i'm definetely going to have one
