Default EGR problems with a 95 Accord!~

HELP!
I have recently purchased an Accord with 164,000 miles on it. I now have 168,000 on it. The car had some problems when I purchased it but I got it for only $2200.00. The ABS and SRS airbag lights along with the engine light were all on (seems like a nightmare, i know). I figure that I could either fix the engine problem and ignore the abs and srs (didnt really care). The current status is that I fixed the engine light problem. The intake temp. sensor was not connected(whoever did the previous engine swap forgot to hook it up). The ABS now works most of the time and the airbags are still dead. If anyone has any thing to say about those two, let me know. Anyway... on to the real problem!

About the same time that I installed a cool air intake on the car, I began to have a slight studdering problem during slight powering in the low RPM range. It honestly felt like the car was missing on some cylinders. I had narrowed the problem to something relating to the EGR system. When I removed the vac. supply from the EGR valve, the problem was none existant. Therefore, i have been driving the car without the EGR for about 2000 miles now. It passed emissions just fine. My gas mileage does not seem to be the best and it bothers me that I dont fully know what is going on in my engine. The other day I hooked the EGR back up for the heck of it. The car ran even worse than before. It sounded like a horible... Chugging and sputtering like it was only making it by on one or two cylinders and smelled like the exhaust was getting really hot. If I would rev the car with full pedal it would seem to smooth out for that length of time but run horible after it came back down again. A honda garage told me that it is possible that the EGR runners in the Intake Manifold could be clogged. I would like some more advise on this whole situation. Also the car seemed to have lost nearly 2 quarts of oil within a 3000 mile period. No leaks and no smoke. Any suggestions?

Update: I was replacing the clutch in the car and noticed alot of oil on the back of the engine coming from what looks like the top rear of the timing belt cover. Any hint as to where thats coming from and if that is my source of oil loss?

Had to re-post this because I did not get back to it in time to check resoponses.
Please Help!

Thanks,
Nick
