Default EG Mini me or Frankenstein???

Wassup Fellas! I Just picked up an EG hatch SI and I need some suggestions!
Here's the deal, the shell on the car is **** (needs bodywork), no engine, dirty and ripped interior, etc...
Here is what I started collecting over sometime!
full D16Z6 swap (200k)
D15B7 with 80k (pulled it from my prev hatch)
D16Z6 tranny with new seals and a brandnew ACT stage 2 clutch
and some other bolt-on shyte...
I know, most of you are gonna say, "go B-series", well I will just not right now (financial issuess)! I'm trying to get the car running well for the time being. Once I'm done with the body and interior then I'll swap to B.

I've been researching for about a week about what I should do!
Sofar I was planning on taking the D15 Block, shave the Z6 head, use the Z6 tranny and then throw all the bol-ons on. I've heard some people call it the mini Frankenstein (not sure if true or not).

I guess my questions are if that's a good idea for a temp solution and whats the most I can shave off the head (higher Compression)?

Thanx for any help!
I'll post pix soon!

just throw a stock d series in it since it sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you anyways... mini me swap or not i don't think it is really worth the time... all motor d series? na i'd rather just keep it reliable rather then milling the head down a bunch just to blow it up.. that's just me

not bad advice. If I was pressed for time or money i would rock the stock D16z6 swap. Get it running the quickest way.
