I have a 90 hatch with mpfi and obd1 conversions. The car runs perfectly until the drivetrain gets a shock. It's got a nasty clutch in it and when I do a hard 1-2 shift or sometimes when I roll into 1st or 2nd gear and it hooks up the engine stalls out. Sometimes it comes right back in and sometimes it decels until I cycle the key off/on.

I hooked up a tst light to ecu ig+ and all the gnds 1 at a time and obd1 pin a23 is in question. (obd0 pin a2) At idle I see a very dim lit test light, as the rpm goes up it gets brighter and when I gnd the wire the engine stalls and wont start back up. The diagrams I looked up all ay that it's a gnd.

Can anyone verify that this is normal or if I found a problem?
