EF light wire harness
Im having problems with my EF and its lights. Im thinking it may be easier to find a donor harness for the lights, and just splice them in to get the old one out. Heres my problem; My brake lights stopped working, and when i press the brake pedal, the dash light for an open door comes on instead of my brake lights. Also, if i put my hazard lights on, instead of blinking through the corner lights, they blink through the highbeams on the headlights. I think this problem may be stemming from when the previous owner did a crappy job of putting HIDs in. I mean its a mess. So what im asking is could it be possible(and maybe easier) to take a donor harness and just splice it in around the dash to get rid of the mess with the HIDs?? Would this maybe fix the problem with all these lights working under different functions; hazards working through highbeams, and brake lights not working but when brake pedal is pushed a dash light comes on.
Thats the thing, the swap was done okay, its just the lights are being stupid. Im gonna try getting a whole new harness for the lights after i try removing all non factory wiring.
The HIDs should not be wired to the dash harness, if it was, the previous was not a ricer, he was a dumbass.
With that said, I would check harness grounds, when diff. circuits have an effect on each other it is almost always because of a grounding issue. 94

I got it figured out. For some reason the horn and the brake lights are on the same fuse. And when i hit the horn it blows the fuse, thus causing the brake lights to not work. I blew 2 20a fuses before putting a 30 in and it hasnt blown yet. Im still taking those shitty HIDs out though lol.

DO NOT replace fuses with bigger ones, it can lead to the car burning to the ground.
Find the problem and fix it, [probably a bad horn], unplug the horn(s) and install the proper fuse and press the horn button, if fuse does not blow the horn, [or one of them if you have two] is bad, replace it. 94
