Default which ecu to use?

iam getting ready to turbo a d16z6 but am confused on qhich ecu to use to get chipped. my buddy got a p72 i beleive chipped with chrome but a shop told him he would be better off using a p28. his car is obd2 so i figure my ecu options would be different since my car is obd1? i am wanting to get it chipped with chrome if that matters? thanks

a p28 is what you should use. a converted p06 will also work. the p72 will not work.. the pinout is different i believe.

A P72 will work fine. It has the IAB output as well, so that's a bonus. A P28 or Non-VTEC ECU converted to P28 is probably the cheapest route.
