Ecu upgrade?
I installed a skunk2 intake man on my 94 gsr. It feels like I lost power. I'm thinking a chipped ecu would work. But I still want a rev limit. Who sells custom programs? That's a normal person can afford.
I sell chipped P28s for $209 shipped, chipped, and fully insured. I guarantee all ECUs I sell.
I also offer DIY chipping kits as well as an ECU chipping service.
Email me at kenji211@tampabay.rr.com for more info. Thanks.

I'm gonna jump on this thread since I can't use PMs yet ...
My question is this: what are the advantages of using an ODBI ECU such as a P28, other than it being easier to program? As I have an ODBIIb, I'm wondering if it's wise or even necessary to convert to ODBI, or if I should just get a VAFC and fine-tune what I have now.

it depends on you. VAFC goes a long way as far as tuning, but dyno or some controlled enviornment is required. but its not a so fail safe system, anything you program into it can get erased and minor problem occur at times within the unit.
another limitation of the VAFC is that it cannot control the ignition timing, only fuel maps and vtec points.
if you're currently running a OBDII system then upgrade to OBDI will require a harness converter and ECU - at times it can be cheaper then vafc unit and much more reliable and can produce much more power.
