ecu swap throwing code 14
okay this is the story.
i have a 96 dx and i am using the auto engine harness.(i did a auto to manual swap) just out of boredom i put a 96 ls ecu into the car. i did the whole repin and move the harness for the iacv. then i grounded the orange wire on the 3 wire iacv. when i crank it up in idles fine. after it warms up it will idle around 1500 rpm. it doesn't really go up and down like a vacuum leak. it sorta sounds like a weak two step. if that makes any since. so what else should i try?
also i unhooked the orange wire from the ground and then it started really bouncing around.

Where did you get the idea that 3-wire IACV's can be controlled by 2-wire ECU's? Or that a 3-wire IACV can somehow mimic a 2-wire IACV?
They can't and the same is true for 2-wire IACV's on 3-wire ECU's.
Don't be too surprised if you fouled up the IACV by trying this.
Just put things back to stock.

no it didn't mess it up. i have tried this like 5 times doing different stuff. i was wondering if any has done it and been successful in doing this.
