Here's the deal guys, Hunter on here has a hatch with a B16A and a PR3 ecu. I have a B16A with a PR3 in my CRX. He put a chip in his that rev limits at 8900 or something, and the engine is all stock. He wants to auto-x it this Sunday, so we were thinking of just sharing my stock ECU. My question is this: does the ECU have to adjust to the car after its been unplugged? If I take it out of mine and plug it into his, will he suffer reduced performance for not giving the ECU time to adjust to his car? And when he gives it back to me, will I suffer reduced performance also since as soon as I plug it back in I'll be redlining the car? Thanks guys.
Be sure that the car sits and idles for about 5 to 10 minutes before driving. You should hear the fan come on at least once. twice is better.
Then the ECU ahould have had time to learn its curves.
