Alright i've got a 1994 prelude sr-v i know i cant chip my original ecu (i think its a p14 i think) and i also know i need a p72 ECU, my question for you guys is will a p72 ecu from an automatic car work on my 5 speed manual?

could that be one of the things that chipping it would do. like could they just program the chip for a manual, instead of auto. or is that another part of the ecu that would have to be tampered with? because i know a buddy that worked for a shop programming chips, and he has all the maps, and such on his computer, so he's going to program the chip for me!

 

you have to cut a resistor or something. check out http://www.pgmfi.org

 

OBD1 P72 auto to manual conversion...
remove RP17 and RP18, jumper across RP18.
located right below the chip.

 

and how do i do that just cut it or something?
