ecu question
yo im going threw the same thing im on my second swap cause the first one i got robbed by the swap and for mah new b16a i got a pm5 sohc ecu and i wanna know the same question but i called hasport they said it won't turn over what i heard is you can use a 90 93 integra ecu and get it chipped but im trying to find out if its tru
Dude if someone installed your swap with a PM5 how do you know that the rest of the swap is legit as for wiring n stuff? You can use the SOHC ECU, you just wont have VTEC. And if you cant have VTEC, whats the point?

yea tru it prob takes power cause the fuel injection is diffreent just get a pr3 or pw0 what the point of doing a b16a swap if you don't have the v tec just go buy a pr3 look int he classifieds i go tmine for 150
Which ECU is it? If you already have a SOHC VTEC ECU, the cheapest thing to do would be to get it chipped with a DOHC program. Simple. This can be easily done in many cases.

Yes, look for an 89-91 B16A PR3 or PW0 ecu to gain full stock power from your B16A engine. The PM6 ecu is not a VTEC ecu at all, although, it will get you around town, but you're obviously not getting full potential from your engine using a PM6.
A PR3 is best to look for as if you plan to have the ecu reprogrammed later on the down the line, its easier to have chipped since there are more programs for it vs. the PW0 ecu.

You should be able to hear VTEC. mmmmmmmmbaaaaaaaa. If not, then you're probably not getting it.
P28, P30, P72 programs should all work fine for a B16. Just gotta tune the fuel.
