ECU QUESTION

DOES AN ECU HAVE GOVERNOR. IF SO WILL IT PREVENT YOU TO GO A CERTAIN SPEED? CAUSE MY PRESSURE SWITCH GOES OFF ONLY IN 5TH GEAR ONCE AT 100MPH.

Some ecus do have speed govs, but it would not cause you to throw a check engine light if you hit the gov.

I checked my wires and sensor for loose connection. But everything seems ok.So what could it be?
