Default ECU problem

I'm doing an H22a swap in my '96 accord. I finished everything regarding the swap except the wiring and few hose connections. When I took it to the mechanics shop, I was told that I needed a P13 OBD2 JDM ECU for an automatic (I know... I should have done a 5 speed swap, but I didn't... my mistake). In any event, I'm having a difficult time finding the correct ECU (the one mentioned above).
My question is if anyone knows how to make the JDM OBD1 P13 automatic ECU work in my car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've heard that you can re-program an ECU to make it work. Would that be a possibility in my situation? Does anyone have a P13 OBD2 JDM ECU for an automatic possibly?
Any and all help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

If you have an OBD1 H22A, then you need a 92-95 OBD1 JDM P13 auto ECU AND the companion TCM (transmission control unit). Without the TCM, your transmission will NOT work.

Along with these two things, you will also need a custom OBD2 to OBD1 AUTO conversion harness. We build these. If interested, please call or email.

I would need the TCM for the H22a, correct? Or would I need the TCM for the Accord?
Lastly, I have the OBD2 to OBD1 piggyback harness. Is the harness you're refering to different than the one I have? If so, what kind of pricing?

Thank you for your help.

Match the TCM to the transmission. If you are using an H22A tranny, use an H22A TCM.

The OBD2 to OBD1 auto harnesses are vastly more complex than the standard conversion harness. They have two extra plugs for the TCM and are made on a custom basis only. Please contact us for pricing.
