ok i got an obd2 96 ex ecu, i'm putting a b16a in the car can i use the sohc ecu to run the motor? and would i have issues chipping it?

yes you CAN use your EX ECU on a B16 engine, but you won't be getting the full potential power from it, like you would with a B16 ecu. You can look into buying a used 96-98 Type-R ECU, even a 96-98 GSR ECU...
