Default ECU difference?

Is there a difference between, let's say, a 99 jdm p72 and a 99 usdm p72? I know the 2000 usdm p72 has an immobilizer on it. But is that the only difference?

OH ya... also would this ecu work with a 96 motor? I need it cause I have a 99. It's cheaper to buy the whole ecu off ebay than to buy the skunk2, etc. ecu harness adapter.

I personally don't work with OBD2 ECU's all that much so I can't tell you about the differences (with the immobilizer, etc.) As for running motors, it will run any OBD2 motor just fine... OBD2a = '96-1898 Civic / '96-1999 Integra so as you can see the ECU is plug and play with either chassis in those years... The '99-2000 Civic / '00-2001 Integra are OBD2b and share the same "style" ECU (OBD2a = plugs A,B,D... OBD2b = plugs A,B,C) Sorry I couldn't be more of a help, Peace
