Default easiest way to reset ECu

Well like it says... Will disengaging the battery do the trick or do I need to do something else... Unplug ecu from car?

easier way, pull the fi/ecm fuse in the underhood fusebox

It's the 7.5a fuse. You only need to pull it for 30 seconds. Put it back in, start the car & let it idle until the fan comes on twice.

Or 10 minutes. If your radiator is too big for your engine

if your car is surging in idle will your ecu reset properly?

(i have a few things left to troubleshoot on the idle so i dont need comments on that )

Yes and no. It will be able to get rid of all of the old codes and then will generate new ones once the bad devices talk to the ECU.
