Default Eagle Rods vs Crower Rods

I have a B20B/B16A engine running stock rods and pistons now, soon be shopping.
My Question is are the crower rods worth the extra money?
I am looking to build to about 210hp for every day driving and 150 hP shot of NOS for the track maybe once or twice a month.
I figure the Eagle rods should be more than able to handle that, however i have gotten some bad reviews.

i have never heard of any case where any eagle rods have failed. to attest that, jojo callos is running eagle rods & crank on his integra and i believe b18bturbo (viren) is running eagle rods on his race car as well

Eagle rods are junk! When you measure center of pin height to center of crank journal height, I have seen them not be in spec. Also they are a foreign built rod with less quality controls. How do you think they are able to make them cheaper?

Well then i think my measly couple houndred HP should be no problem.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
Any reason u think why the crowers are so much more expensive then?

Every Eagle rod we have installed have held up and driving hard. They have all been in spec. We are about to put 700whp+ on the same rods we've used all year. Want to show you the bent crowers? I have some pics that I need to upload.

i heard the eagle rods are made in the US but machined in china. but hey if they can hold 700whp and cost $350 i'll take them over crowers any day.

I like the all American made Manley rods. Seem to hold pin fit better than Crowers. I only trust American made rods although I'm sure everyone has great results with Eagles.

I have a friend who builds engines for a living. He swears by Eagle rods. However our race car has Crower rods in it. For the money I'd rather have Eagle tho and save some cash. You wont be disappointed.

.....and in how many instances have you noticed this trend? One....two times? I hardly call that a definite flaw in Eagle rods.
So far, every time I've used Eagles I check the spec and they are within the limits. Crowers are also very good rods but the cost is a deterrent. I'd rather use Paulter rods over all but the costs are very hard to justify in a street or street/strip engine...which is what most people on H-T are building anyways.

IMO, the Eagles are a good connecting rod for the cost. Besides, you would be suprized how fast those non-US manufacturers (Mexico, China, India, etc.) are increasing their quality issues.
