E-Brake light problem....

Default E-Brake light problem....

I have searched and everyone elses problems are similar but not the same....

My problem is the e-brake light is always on from the min. i turn the car untill i turn it off. when the e-brake is up the light just gets brighter, when the e-brake is down the light is not as bright...

anyone have an idea why id would do this?

What he said. Brake fluid level would be the first thing to check.

fluid level is fine, im changing the caps today, because i read somewhere that, the floater switch can go bad, so ill check that out and check the actuall leaver switch.

ill get back to this thread in a bit, any other help would be great

That's easy to check. Just unplug it and connect the wires together to see if the light goes out.

There is a good chance the wire just came unhooked from the ebrake its self. Try giving that a check

changed it and its back to normal.

i know you can change the caps on stock master cylinders, what about aftermaket cylinders??? i just put a new one today and the light stays on?? do they sell caps for non oem??
