ok i did a little searching around because im not familiar with these terms. In my searching i found people talking about them but never really explained what the differences are in detail.

I'm in a huge learning phase right now (currently reading a few books as well) and im wanting to learn about this topic since it has a little to do what i am reading about.

Lots of piston tech.They refer to dynamic compression as effective compression ratio.
