Default dumbass ground wire question

searching for ground wire points, etc. yielded nothing so here goes. i know there are ground wires from the thermostat hsg, starter and tranny but are there specific locations to ground them? my haynes manual doesn't cover this and searching google shows me a bunch of guys with "cool" grounding cables on their batteries and other ****....thanks and i apologize for the noob Q...

edit: on a 1990 integra rs

It's up to you. I started with alt, chassis, tranny, valve cover, then block, throttle body and another to the chassis. As for the exact location...It's only a ground, just make sure it is making good contact.
