Is driving without powersteering belt bad?

Default Is driving without powersteering belt bad?

I just took off my powersteering belt so i can have that aggressive feel. Now what i want to know if is that at all bad to the rack and pinion? Please help me

You should change your rack and pinion. Over time it will go bad.

I drove my civic for 4 yrs w/o the steering belt and then out of the blue I decided to reinstall the belt and one year later still, not leaks or any wierd noises. parking sucks though...sometimes.
