driving car cold
ive got *** loads of snow where i am now and its been very cold....my car is a little to loud to be warming up for to long in the morning..people bitch and complain ..
basilcly i always give it a couple minutes to get going...
i wont take it over 2500 rpm when its cold it sounds kinda constrricted over 3000rpm....
is this really bad for the motor ..opinions please

Nope.
You don't need to let it idle for more than 30 seconds when you start it up though. No real point in it, as long as you are keeping the RPM's low until it warms up you should be fine.

driving a car cold is not good in a whole...when your motor isnt up to temp the pistons havent expanded completly causing premature ware from a slightly rocked piston...BUT..on a stock motor with cast pistons with factory(tight)P-W clearences this wouldnt harm the motor until thousands of miles down the line of doing this everyday.....if u have a motor with forged internals with looser tolerences this will cause premature ware A LOT sooner and should not be done!......but like i said if your motor is considerably stock (internally)the way u are handling it should be sufficiant.
