Is it hard on the car to drive around at 5-6k rpm's (it's a b16). Is there a possibility of doing any damage to the car by staying in 2nd gear and driving like that?

its a good question..i mena 2nd gear there is no point how ever if your on the hiway or what not
took my car on its first trip with the usdm h22 tranny and smaller diameter tires then stock and around 75mph its almost at 5000rpm......
kinda makes me wonder how bad it is ..
its an f20b and you cant even tell its up there

My reason for this is because my tranny is slipping going into 3rd gear and I can't afford to repair it at the this time, just wondering it is ok to drive around town in 2nd gear. I still take it easy and try to keep the rpm's around 4K when I can.
