Default DRAGON FIRE Distributor or OEM distributor

Basically, my distributor is fucked and I can’t figure out if I should spend the money and put in a dragon fire distributor or just a used OEM one that works. I’ve heard that the OEM one is actually better is this true?

No, I haven’t. I don’t even really know anything about distributors

It's not too hard to take apart and replace those two, there are guides online. Not sure on costs where you are but I think it's better to fix an OEM one before going aftermarket.

There is NO better distributor than a factory OE housing. If you aren't getting any codes for TDC, CKP, or CYP sensors... then do as stated above and replace the coil and/or igniter... and put on a new cap and rotor button.

Thanks for the info, last night I opened up both my distributors, and I’ve determined they’re both Chinese aftermarket. So rebuilding is out of the question
