Default dpfi to mpfi maifold conversion

switching from a dpfi manifold to mpfi si manifold on a 91 civic dx hb w/ a 1.5
motor. changed the wiring harness to accept the new injectors, now i was told that i have to changed the distributor also to an si or can i use the dx distributor. i don't
plan on keeping the car very long, i just want better performance from the 1.5
motor.
