dohc head on a sohc block???

dohc head on a sohc block???

i have a 93 honda civic ex. it has the sohc vtec and wanted to know if it is possible to just keep my block and rebuild it but put a dohc head on it from a newer si or delsol. would it give me more benfits too?? thanks,
