Does this seem like a hoax or could it make a difference
I've been reading about the electric supercharger. http://www.electricsupercharger.com Anyone using this? I realize that it might only add 5 to 10 hp at the wheels but anyone think that this thing could really work? They've got dyno charts to back up their claims. Just wanna be sure that I'm wasting my time.
yea right. 0 to 22,000 rpm in 1/10th of a second. right. theres no way that little dinky *** motor can do anything, except maybe equal the restriction that it adds to your intake in the first place. it takes away a little hp and then give some of it back when "activated." i personally think you will lose hp.
id be curious to see if they actually work also... im skeptical. id take 10whp if it were something easy, why not? hehe... for instance I would like to see tests with it on a mild stock NA VTEC motor and another on a 12:1 B series with big cams, retuned, etc.
hehe, can someone independently varify about any possible race team affiliation that eRam claims? maybe this is the Type_R electric blower y0
all those are are little marine grade fans, they will hinder more than anything, and its a hoax. definately the dumbest thing the ricer companies have ever come out with. except for maybe light-up valve caps

focker, if i had 250 laying around id give a try just for ***** and giggles but until that day come( it most likely never will) ill just look at it and wonder
and thats one bullshit money back garuntee, do two backflips, jump 20 feet in the air, land in your car through the sunroof/window and hit the gas. If it doesnt give you an extra horsepower then well give you your money back for the intake and pay you 5 dollars for your hospital fees
either way its a good marketing scheme...
think about it like this...
the company wants you to believe this works, and for most ricers it will work just fine and prove to be mad trick.
for those who aren't satisfied, they'll send it back and await for their refund. chances are it will take 30-60 days to return the money allowing this company to gain interest on the money originally spent by the stupid customer who thought this piece of **** product would actually work.
a great idea if you ask me...as long as they sell the products initially they make money, whether or not the individual customer is satisfied is not quite as important...

http://electricsupercharger.en...o.mpg That thing does look like it could move some air. Far more than the bilge pumps that they're selling on ebay. They're saying that the one that they offer with 2 erams in tandem generate around 1.7 psi of boost. All jokes aside, does this look viable?
The e-ram is the only one that might actually do anything. They advertise it will make about 1psi but the drawback is it uses like 70 amps to move that much air. This is not to be confused with the ebay bilge blower pumps which only use a couple amps and will never create any kind of pressure. The problem is any power gains fromt the whopping 1psi it makes will probably be lost to the increased load on the alternator from all the power this thing is sucking up

lol..the car will probably die because the fan is using too much current..!
edit: good blow dryer... http://electricsupercharger.en...o.mpg

you know honestly it could very well make the 5 hp they claim.. i mean it does pump 750cfm and make supposedly like 1 psi.... now its still 250 though.. you can make 5hp with a ITR intake manifold or a AEM cai or sumthin for less money than the e-ram
not worth it by any means!
not worth it by any means!
99% of all the electric turbos or superchargers do not work. The eRam is one however that does. There is a guy on here that has the eRam with whatever upgrade it is that they offer and his gsr with I/H/E and eRam does like 13.9 on street tires. I can't remember his name cause this was about 6 months ago but it added something like 18 whp......not alot but its something
