Does secondary 02 sensor code send the ECU into limp mode?
mine comes on every other day or so and the car seems to idle better with the CEL on. everytime i pull the code, it's for the secondary 02 which doesn't exist as i have a simulator in place of it, i know I need to replace the simulator soon so it doesn't trip the CEL anymore but just wondering if it goes into limp mode whenever the CEL comes on, or only for things that can effect engine health?

pump</TD></TR></TABLE> Nope it doesnt. It will do it to protect the engine. My freinds O2 is bad, and has a CEL and runs fine.

The only thing that the second 02 dose is moniter the kat. the reason why u would wont a simuleted 02 is if you had no kat then it would lie to your ECU and tell it that everything is fine. The only 02 that has an input is the first one, witch determins your fuel trim.
