Default do you need to get a flywheel resurfaced?

I am about to put in a b18c1 flywheel with a b18a clutch but I dont knwo if I need to get it resurfaced, I will probably be putting in a new clutch in a month, I just need ot see if the engine runs and the tranny works.
what should I do?

i heard you always have to resurface it but you could take the risk its up to you

If you are only going to be running it for a month, you will probably be fine. The reason for resurfacing the flywheel is to clean up hot spots and get a smooth surface for the clutch to grab. A symptom of a flywheel that is in need of resurfacing is clutch "chatter" or a lack of smooth engagement. If the flywheel is out, resurfacing is cheap at any decent machine shop.
