i just bought new factory rotors. they have some black marks on them. i thought brake cleaner would take it off but it didnt

can you guys take a quick look and tell me if its normal for a new rotor to have these marks on it?

Most of those pics are somewhat out of focus, but in the 4th and 5th pics it does look like the surface might be a bit irregular (r was that still brake cleaner).

Factory rotors? From Honda or Acura?
Otherwise, it seems you get what you pay for (and if you paid a lot I'd take them back to where you bought them and see what they say). Sorry, that's my best guess.

 

I've never seen that before. Wouldnt worry about it though, just throw them on the car, it should wear off.

 

i get what i pay for....these are oem rotors from acura.

the shiney stuff is the brake cleaner. i guess i can be safe and see what the dealer says.

non of you purchased factory rotors before? its just the black marks im concerned about.

 

Those look like the solid rears then, right?
Is the surface smooth?
Sorry, might not be that big a deal overall, but I would be curious to see what they'd say at the dealership.

 

Whollly cow those are some big *** pics......rust spots....thats my opinion.
