Do I need a "Flange" for my setup?

To fit my JDM ITR header into a 2.5" civic testpipe, will I need this thing?

if your test pipe has a 2.5 in. flange on it, then you only need the gasket, if your test pipe is just that...a pipe..then you need a 2.5 in flange
