do cranks or cams warp from heat?

I overheated my b17, to the point that there are ring-like marks inside one of the cylinders. I have removed the crankshaft, intending to rebuild a b16 with it. I looked at it closely and can't see anything wrong w/ the bearing journals or whatever they are called. I was just wondering if it might have warped, making it unsuitable to reuse. Or are cranks usually stronger than that? It's the same situation for the cams.
