first off i have a d16z6 in my 90 std hatch.. now i have a 91 ls distributer.. im having problems with it i notched the two bolts so i can get both bolts in.. but today i was driving to a friends house and the car idled at 2 thou and then backfired real bad and then shut off.. so i took the dizzy all apart.. the rotor was melted i dont know why? thats the question i got it running but why did the rotor burn up.. never saw anything like it.. can someone give me some opinouns...

 

It might have been a coil problem.
