Default dizzy help with obd1 conversion

Ok so I have a 91 Crx with ls-vtec, running on a chipped p28, other then the cry the car is all stock. Now for the help, I have power everywhere even the dizzy but it only wants to get power when I shut the car off( and that's for a split second). I'm not sure if I have something wired in reverse or what, but this my first wiring job so any help would GREATLY be appreciated. Thanks, Chicken

So you are using the stock distributor on the P28 Ecu? You have to use an OBD1 or 2 distributor with that ECU.

Dude check your wiring, and get a VTEC Dizzy. Did you have to cut a leg off to get it to mount up?

Well I bought the car like that, but they prolly had to, but I'm only having to do this cause someone broke into my car and cut the jumper harness out of it, but I have so much paperwork on the wiring, I have everything else working right, as it should. But it just seems like its in the dizzy plug.

Sounds like your wiring is wrong. The mention of your car wanting to get power for a split second when you stop cranking says that you are not supplying power to the dizzy when you try to start.

In other words the 12V switch power wire to your dizzy is inverted.

Where is that switch located, so I can check it out. could the dizzy being bad or the coil make it do that?

If it's an OBD1 Dizzy i would say your black/yellow and yellow/green wires need to be switched. It sounds like you don't know which distributor you even have...your jumper is OBDI as you mention...which jumper? The ECU jumper or the Dizzy one? there are 2 needed if your going to do it correctly.

Well the jumper running to the ecu is obd1, and the B-plug for the dizzy, is ran straight to the dizzy so it is obd1 as well, and as I'm reading I'm thinking I'm wrong? Or as accorse was saying switch those wires around, like I said before this is my first wiring job so just bare with me please, and I have every color from the ecu matched with the color on the dizzy plug, same the other plug, but now that I'm getting real answers I'm second guessing myself ahhhhh!
