I recently bought a 97 hatch with a GSR swap car ran pretty good when I first drove it. The more I drove it the worse it got. Car bucks and cuts out violently upon acceleration at lower-ish RPM but stays running. And purges on idle. I replaced TPS and MAP sensors along with new wires and plugs hoping to fix the issue which it did not. After about 5 minutes of the car running I pulled the new spark plugs and all of them were completely black.

What engine management are you using ? You said that you swapped the MAP sensor and there is no change... what throttle body do you have ?

are you running premium fuel?

It’s a Skunk 2 pro series throttle body. Also the ecu is a JDM type r ecu.

yes. Previous owner had said they to only used premium.

My bad. It’s actually a S2 Racing throttle body.

Post a pic of the throttle body please. Also, list the wire colors in each of the TPS and MAP sensor plugs.

TPS is three wires. yellow wire with a blue stripe, green with a black stripe, and red with a black stripe
MAP is three wires. Yellow with a red stripe, red with a green stripe, and green with a white stripe

also if you need me to take the throttle body off for pictures let me know they should be attached let me know if you can see them.
