diy cold air box
you know what> all you need to do is use your stock box, maintain a sealed lip under the box to a dryer hose 3" in dia and the length of your intake hose... and run it into the fenderwell near your headlight so you dont hydrolock. use free flow filter of your choice.
I used 8" of 4" hose cut and clamped and another 18" of 3" hose and I rolled the outer side with duct tape. several coats of black duct tape. then get yourself a 4" to 3" rubber sewer joint with pipe clamps. take some black silicone and make a bead around the inside and install the pipe. then attach this to the inlet port of the box, yes the underside where the air enters the box. give it some RTV to seal it, clamp her down. install the filter and roof of box... you should be good to go...
