DIY air filter heat shield

has anyone made or have a custom heat shield on their air filter? i'm looking in to making one, but have not found anything on the web on how to make one. any input would be appreciated.

i am in the process of building one right now. i bought 3 pieces of 10x18" aluminum and rivited it together. i'll try to post some pics when its done
