Default distributor question

ok i have first gen b16 in my crx the distributor went bad so i took a distributor off my d16 engine hack off an ear and its work but my car i kick in the rev limit early at like 7500 so is this the distrubutor if so i heard i can use one off a 90 to 91 intergra because is non obd or do i need to get the b16 one thanks.

if you can't get a jdm b16 replacement, i think the second best option is the b18b distributor. the mounting points on the distributor body are different though, so you'd want to buy a ls distributor, take everything out of it and put all the guts into your original jdm b16 distributor body.

getting your hands on one of the specialized torx bits used in the distributor may be a bit of a challenge - i haven't tried to find one yet, but they're not something you can just pick up at the local tool store...
