Default DISTRIBUTOR QUESTION

i have a quick question. if i have an lsvtec motor with a 00gsr head and an obd2 ecu, with a obd1 distributor, is there anything i can do to make it work? could i use my stock d16y7 distributor or do i have to buy an obd2 one. if i have to buy an obd2 one does it have to be gsr or can i get an si one? and does it have to come off of a vtec car or can it be an ls distributor? Thanks in advance

as long as its a B series it will work, the LS b series will work but you have to cut off one of the legs any obd1 or obd2

You need an OBD-2 distributor to match the plug on your harness. As stated above, you can use an OBD-2 LS distributor, but one of the mounting legs hits the VTEC solenoid so it needs to be cut off. Any B series VTEC distributor will bolt on without any problems.
