Distribuitor Question....
ok guys.. i tried to wire a VTEc ecu (p28) on a STD 90 harness wich its DPFI... well after i tried to conect and wire about 36 cables, i tried to fire the engine up, but never got a spark.... well i rewired everything back to normal and now my Engine its redlining @ 3500 in every gear and i am stuck at a max speed of 73 mph.... suxs.... the ecu trows me a code 4 (crank angle sensor).. every pin in the distribuitor i have it by terminals.... can anybody tell me if the crank angle sensor its disconected will i loose my spark... this **** its pissing me off an d i need to find out what can this be happening. i had an extra ecu here at home PM7 and its still does same thing.... any help or hints will be good... specially on this tech forum.. thaxs guys .... peace
well im not sure about the sensor but the reason for the 3500 rpm limit is b/c your car is in safe mode from the ecu code, so it will continue until you clear the code
if u have the two white wires mix up u wont get spark one has a red tag on it that's the one for the ckp senor and the orange wire.. sometimes the red tag comes off do u know were i can get a b16a dist from?
yeah thats a big problem i was going to poiny tha out i have the sam problem right now with teh same damn swap let me know how it goes.... mine wont spark at all yet i know the dist is good. but yeah lokk for the red stripe on the end of the wire on the mpfi ecu side.
