disabling Apexi VAFC?
Hey guys,
I was wondering how you "disable" the Apexi VAFC. I don't want it to alter ANY settings, especially VTEC x-over. I don't wanna have to rewire anything either. I have hondata too and am going to be dyno tuning and don't want it to be operational. You can't just unplug it because some stuff is running thru it but how do you make it so it doesn't do anything? I don't wanna even have to touch the thing on the dyno. If I want to tune the low cam and set the VTEC x-over at 7k on the hondata I don't wanna worry that the VAFC is altering it. Right now I have them set to the same value but I don't know how to "disable" it so to speak. Do I initialize it and leave it? Thanks.

Go to the APEXi Website, download the manual, look at the install section. now, look at your ECU wires, where the V-AFC is plugged in, and reconnect anything. As long as the V-AFC is connected, its going to interfere or do what IT is set to do. just do it this way and be done with it, your hondata is going to be superior is tuned corectly. There's no way i know of to just set it to do nothing, the V-AFC's only purpose is to DO things to the ECU signals, not sit there and watch.
