i have a cable ys1 tranny and need a new throw out bearing the old one has a slit notch on each side for the spring clip to fit into......

but where the problem lies is.......i bought a 91 LS throwout bearing and it is a bit different it doesnt have the slit notch it has a hook.

are there two different throw out bearings for a ys1 tranny?
i know there are two different ys1 trannys but wouldnt they use the same throw out bearing? which one should i order now?

 

Im rather certain that usdm ys1 tranny's only came in 92-93 integras

 

well are there differences in usdm to jdm or LS to B16

Jdm ys1's are a whole other animal that im not sure about.

so you have 91 integra with a ys1? did it come like that stock?

i have a b16A that came with a ys1 but not sure if it is long or short geared(ls or b16) and i have a ys1 in my shed that has a throw out bearing that did not match the throw out that i just purchased from star auto parts for a 91 LS which is what i believed was the right bearing

 

try a 92 throwout bearing...Star ehh? what part of cali are you from.

 

90-91 trannys are different then 92-93 trannys....im not sure how your original car came with a ys1.

 

use a 92-93 ls or gsr throw bearing or fyi you can use a 94-01 integra hydro throw bearing also

yeah im close to hemet, Yuacaipa actually. I will try for a 93 gsr then. (cross my fingers)
