Default different exhasts...

if i got a comptech 4-2 header, would a buddy club exhaust bolt up to it? how would i find this out with other exhuasts? thanks

If you have the same engine that came with your car from the factory then most exhaust and headers will mix and match.

what if the diameters wer different? i.e. 2.5 in header and a 3 in exhaust?

If you have different sized header and exhaust flanges a good, clean way to join the 2 is to get a cat with a 2.5" inlet and a 3"outlet.

I have one question for you though. Why would you want a 3" exhaust with a header that has a 2.5" collector? Going with the 2.5" exhaust is a much better choice for all motor. 3" is best left for turbo applications.

no i was just giving an example, not htat i want to. so your'e saying that almost any exhaust will fit with almost and header? thanks
