Default The difference between OBD2a and OBD2b???

I'm not sure if this is answered? or have been posted... but I have question that needs answers to.. well 2 questions actually.... Well I have a 97 hatchback and I know it's an obd2.. has a gsr swap in it with and obd1 jumper harness... My damn distributor gave out and now i'm in the process of buying one... I was going for a 2000 distributor and I want to know will this work? what's the difference between obd2a and obd2b distrubtor? please clarify... thanks.... will it work or will it not work? and is there anything different on how the distributor would plug up?

There are differences between 2a and 2b that have been covered. Do a quick search and you can find it (don't forget to search [archived] content).

If you are currently using a OBD-2 distributor than buy that, if you are using a OBD-1 than buy that.

Can't tell you if one or the other would work as I have not seening your setup and could not advise either way.

If you want to take pics of the distributor and plugs then post up the pics it would help.
