Default Diagnostice Help.

Hi,
Is there anybody in the Baltimore area who has an Acura HDS/HIM that does side work? I have a 2010 TSX that needs diagnostics and it is way too difficult and expensive to take the car to Acura. Also, is there anybody who rents the HDS units?

Too expensive?? Sounds like the car is too expensive for you, time to trade it in for a Civic and stop living beyond your means....Also any good indy shop will have an HDS/MVCI. We do....

I guess I did'nt explain myself. The car is a flood car that I bought in hopes of fixing up and using as a second vehicle. Since there are so many defective modules and possibly a wire harness, It is difficult and costly to take the car to Acura just to be told they cannot connect. $150 to tow and $164 for failed diagnostic gets expensive especially if I will need to do it several times.

What is an Indy shop and where is it located?

Indy=Independant (not a chain or dealer) shop. Start calling around.

There's your problem.

Why would you buy a car that has actually been underwater?

Anyone in their right mind is not going to take on a flood car as "side work"

Youre gonna have to bite the bullet on this one and take it to a reliable indy shop. I wouldnt bother with the dealer until its time to program/code module and /or the immobilizer. The dealer will most likely just throw parts at it.

Just thought Id let you critics know the flood car is running and 100 percent functional. I have $6500 in my 2010 TSX with less than 10000 miles. The problem was a fuse that wasn't blown but open for some reason.

That goes to show that you cannot trust a fuse to be good because it looks okay.
