my b16a1 makes this wierd quiet clicking noise. coming from the tranny area.
i heard detonation sounds like bb's in a can. which would be an extreme metallic noise? what sound would come from the tranny?

 

When does it make that noise? Under throttle, cruising, braking, turning or a combination of these?

 

most noticeable is at idle. no exhaust jus straight header all i can hear during driving is that. but it enough when i stop at a light u can hear it.

i dunno if its bad or not. i thought it was jus normal honda valve lift noise. but it comes from the tranny area. the most extreme noise comes when i put my head close as i can to the tranny near the distributer.

drives and runs fine. jus a little vibrations. dunno what from. but its extreme. hopefully will go away when i hook it up to the exhaust

 

if ur running lean try a tank full of higher octane gas..nest step would be run a colder plug

 

could be your clutch

 

i rather it be my tranny/clutch that my motor.

and the gas in the car has been sittin for 6 months.

doesnt seem to git worse. just makes that noise. dunno. gonna take it to a mechanic next week
