Default Determining intake...

If I drop a 97 type R motor into my 92 civic hatch dx, which aftermarket intake will fit??? (What year and model car would i need the intake for?) My friend told me the one that would fit would be 99-00 civic.

You are correct in assuming that the 99-00 will fit but I believe that any side-draft style intake for the 92-00 model year will fit besides the GSR of course. All you Tech gods correct me if I am wrong...

Both the ITR intake and the SI intake will fit. If you're going with a CAI though, they'll end up in different positions. ITR one would go down next to the coolant reservoir, SI one would go through the stock hole.

The diameter of the Civic CAI is smaller than the ITR CAI.Go with the ITR one.
