I apologize for my elementary knowledge of automobiles, but what does a catback exhaust mean? I see that everywhere, but I'm not exactly certain what differentiates a catback exhaust from an exhaust?

A catback is an exhaust system that is from that cat. converter back. Hence the name catback.
