DD on a lean car not smart?
I just got done with my h22 swap and thought i had a p28 chipped with a h22 basemap. I drove it a couple times then checked the plugs and there white. Not even sort of brown just white. Now i know i cant get on it but will it hurt just to drive around like this? I remember people leaning their cars out at part throttle to get better gas mileage but im just not sure if you can get too lean on part throttle
You won't be driving it for long. You engine is consuming it's self from the inside out. There is such a thing as too lean, and you are there.
You wouldn't get enough deposit on the plugs just from driving it around a few times. In my Honda Tuning handbook, they built a 477 hp turbo GSR and after a few dyno pulls, the plugs were still white. If the plugs have silver flecks on them or the insulator is starting to crack or break or your getting major spark knock, i'd start worrying then. Just for ***** if you know someone with an AF meter or EGT probe or can get some dyno time, find out that way.
I already have a appointment to get it tuned on the 31st. I just want to drive my car right now the only other mode of transportation is on my quad and its getting old driving that. Also wanted to get my clutch a little broke in. No cracks or signs of detonation on the plugs and it runs fine. The guy says he is 100% sure there is a h22 basemap on my computer I was just worried of the white plugs i figured they would brown up from normal driving

Yeah, maybe after a couple hundred miles.. not right away.
